Luxury Guatemalan rum brand Ron Zacapa is stepping into the world of couture. The brand has unveiled an exclusive partnership with Colombian fashion house Agua by Agua Bendita, blending the worlds of high fashion and premium spirits in a celebration of Latin American craftsmanship. The collaboration, which centres on a shared dedication to tradition, artistry, and female empowerment, launches as a limited-edition release available online.
Fashionably Chic
At the heart of the collection is a bespoke set featuring Zacapa’s ultra-premium Zacapa XO rum, paired with a handcrafted handbag created by Agua by Agua Bendita. The piece incorporates Zacapa’s iconic Petate weaving—handmade by Guatemalan women—and the fashion brand’s signature embroidery, stitched by skilled female artisans in rural Colombia. Adorned with delicately embroidered orchids, the handbag is both a striking accessory and a tribute to the region’s cultural heritage.

Celebrating Culture
The collaboration reflects both brands’ long-standing support for artisan communities. Since 1999, Zacapa has worked with over 700 women in Guatemala to produce the woven bands that adorn its bottles. Agua by Agua Bendita similarly champions craftsmanship, working with female artisans whose work preserves Colombia’s textile traditions.
The launch follows the recent recognition of Agua by Agua Bendita’s founders, Mariana Hinestroza and Catalina Álvarez, who were named Visionaries of the Year at the 2024 Latin American Fashion Summit in Miami—an honour supported by Zacapa.
To celebrate the launch, Zacapa and Agua by Agua Bendita will co-host exclusive events in Miami and New York, bringing together creatives and cultural leaders to highlight the fusion of fashion, spirits, and Latin American artistry.
