The Heart and Soul of Rasanya: Celebrity Chef Zam
“Through our collaboration with celebrity chef, Chef Zam, we are really excited to bring both the unique experience and the special Ramadhan menu and recipes to the market,” says Rasanya’s CEO, Chris Lee. Chef Zam, with his extensive international culinary experience and a passion for Malaysian cuisine, has expertly crafted a menu that encapsulates the essence of the country’s diverse flavors.
“We have injected much-loved elements from other cultures, such as the unique ‘Warna-Warni RasaNya’ yee sang,” says Sharon Tong, Rasanya’s Chief Marketing Officer. This innovative dish brings together ingredients such as jackfruits, pomegranates, papayas, prawns, salmon, lettuce, and traditional crackers, all dressed with a delightful passion fruit sauce.
Elevating Steamboat Dining
Rasanya strives to provide an elevated steamboat dining experience by sourcing only the finest ingredients. The menu features a mouthwatering selection of premium seafood, including tiger prawns, Hokkaido scallops, and fresh Canadian lobster, as well as the finest cuts of meat such as Japanese Miyazaki A5 Wagyu Beef and Australian lamb.
A Visual Feast: The Interior
The restaurant’s interior is as impressive as its menu, featuring intricate Peranakan-inspired décor with traditional tiles, fixtures, and textures. Private rooms are available for larger parties, and the largest room can accommodate up to 20 diners, complete with a state-of-the-art karaoke system and private entrance and exit.
The Ramadan Menu: A Unique Experience
Chef Zam’s special Ramadhan menu, priced at an affordable RM118++ per person, offers diners an exquisite selection of dishes. The ‘Kak Nya Special’ features a variety of appetizers and dishes, while the steamboat menu includes fresh seafood, meats, mushrooms, and vegetables. Soup bases range from Chef Zam’s signature ‘Rahsianya’ soup to other popular options such as ‘Laut Tomato Merah,’ ‘Harimau in the Laut,’ ‘Winter Melon and Herbs,’ ‘Aroi Tomyam,’ and ‘Sedapnya Laksa.’
