The renowned Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre has opened up its doors to the general public with free access to its classes, performances, workshops, talks and more!
For a limited time, the dance company has made available all their full-length performances (see below for a sample) accompanied by online learning classes tailored for all ages. Aspiring dancers also get a chance to take classes from instructors and guest instructors from The Ailey School while fans can also connect with the company dancers via the company’s social media pages.
The famous dance company was eponymously formed by dancer Alvin Ailey whose 1958 performance together with a group of young African American dancers changed American dance theatre forever.
