Confluential- now that’s a word rarely uttered in daily conversation. Derived from the word ‘confluence’, it is the chosen name for the first ever art exhibition at the 8 Conlay sales gallery that draws inspiration from the open spirit of Kuala Lumpur (whose name literally translates to ‘muddy confluence’).
As such, the city’s unique confluence of Asian cultures is reflected in the Confluential art exhibition that showcases 28 works of celebrated Asian and Malaysian artistes. Collaborating with contemporary gallery Art WeMe, the exhibition is a convergence of paintings and sculptures by Sanzi (China), Liao Ying Hsi (Taiwan), Saenkom (Thailand) with Malaysian artists CN Liew, Lok Kerk Hwang and Ng Foo Cheong.
Running from 19th August to 18th September 2017, the exhibition also marks KSK’s enthusiasm as advocates of luxury experiences. Recognising that luxury is more that material possessions, KSK presents 8 Conlay as a new way of luxury living in Kuala Lumpur by crafting spaces to be enjoyed with loved ones and curating experiences that create valuable memories and conversations.
“Confluential represents a marriage of confluence, confidence and influential. It is an extension of KSK Land and Kempinski going beyond material luxury. The exhibition will set in motion our journey, enabling 8 Conlay residents to embrace luxury in different forms, blending high-value arts, travel, designs and bespoke services.†explains Joanne Kua, CEO of KSK Group and Managing Director of KSK Land.
