Asia School Of Business Enters Financial Times Global Executive Education Rankings

The first Malaysian business school to achieve an entry in the global rankings.
The Asia School of Business (ASB) has achieved a historic milestone after debuting at 94th globally in the prestigious Financial Times Executive Education Custom Rankings. The achievement makes ASB the first Malaysian business school to enter the internationally recognised list, marking a significant moment for the country’s higher education and executive learning landscape.

The ASB global ranking debut reflects the institution’s growing reputation in executive education and leadership development across the region. Participating in the rankings for the first time, the school secured a position among the world’s top 100 executive education providers, reinforcing its commitment to programmes designed specifically for Asia’s evolving business environment.

A Recognition Driven By Client Trust

The Financial Times Executive Education Custom Rankings place strong emphasis on stakeholder sentiment and participant experience. Client and participant feedback account for 80% of the overall evaluation, with key areas including programme design, teaching methods and value for money.

Professor Joseph Cherian, CEO, President, Dean and Distinguished Professor of Asia School of Business, described the recognition as a major milestone for both the institution and Malaysia’s business education sector. He noted that the ASB global ranking validates the trust corporate partners and programme participants place in the school’s executive learning ecosystem.

According to ASB, the institution continues to focus on executive education programmes that address the realities of modern business leadership while remaining closely connected to regional market dynamics. This approach aligns with the school’s “Global Inquiry, Local Heart” philosophy, which centres on delivering globally connected education rooted in Asian perspectives and experiences.

Programmes Designed For Modern Leadership

ASB structures its executive education programmes around five strategic pillars: corporate governance and finance, leadership and management, technology, geopolitics, and sustainability. These focus areas aim to equip leaders with practical knowledge, future-ready skills and a broader understanding of regional and global transformations.

The institution also highlighted how the integration of the ICLIF Leadership and Governance Centre in 2020 further strengthened its executive education capabilities. Beyond executive education, ASB continues to expand its academic ecosystem through programmes including its MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Central Banking and Agile Continuous Education offerings.

Asia School of Business also emphasises its Action Learning methodology, which focuses on developing real-world business capabilities through practical and immersive learning experiences. As the institution continues to strengthen its international presence, the latest ASB global ranking marks another step in positioning Malaysia within the global business education landscape.
