As the engines roar to life at the 2026 season-opening Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, Formula 1 begins a new chapter. It unfolds a new story, one shaped not only by evolving technology and fresh teams, but by a growing intersection between sport and luxury craftsmanship.

Now entering its second year as an official partner of Formula 1, Louis Vuitton continues to place its signature stamp on the sport’s most defining moment: victory itself.
At the centre of that relationship is the House’s meticulously crafted Trophy Trunk, designed to house the FIA Formula One World Championship trophy. Created in Louis Vuitton’s historic ateliers, the trunk embodies the maison’s long-standing tradition of safeguarding objects of exceptional value — from royal possessions in the 19th century to the most coveted prizes in modern sport.
The Starting Grid

Ahead of the 2026 season opener, all 22 drivers gathered in Bahrain for the traditional pre-season group photograph, where the championship trophy appeared inside its bespoke Louis Vuitton case, a symbolic reminder of what the season ultimately leads to.
The partnership also deepens this year with Louis Vuitton becoming title partner of the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco 2026, further strengthening its historic ties to the principality and motorsport’s most glamorous race.

Throughout the season’s 24 races, Louis Vuitton will accompany every podium celebration with specially designed trophy trunks — a visual signature that links the adrenaline of the racetrack with the artistry of the atelier.
New Era Of Racing

The 2026 championship itself signals a turning point for Formula 1. New regulations introduce lighter cars, updated power units powered by advanced sustainable fuel, and two new teams — Cadillac and Audi — joining the grid, while Madrid prepares to host its first Grand Prix later in the year.
For Louis Vuitton, the partnership reinforces a philosophy that has guided the House for decades: that achievement deserves ceremony — and that, in the world of sport’s greatest victories, the journey continues long after the chequered flag.
