Coffee lovers in Malaysia can now enjoy café-style coffees at home with Nespresso Malaysia’s Machine Subscription Plan. Best of all, with a wide range of machines and plans, consumers can experience an easy and affordable way to get their coffee fix at home.
The new subscription plan is a smart move from Nespresso. But then again, you wouldn’t expect anything less from a brand that single-handedly revolutionised the coffee capsule market. In 1986, Nespresso rolled-out the first-single serve coffee machine, designed exclusively for the office sectors.
Convenient Coffee
The system was intended to deliver quality coffee at a push of a button, delivering sheer convenience for users. Nespresso soon pioneered the coffee capsule segment with its proprietary aluminium capsules, with a strong push for the home. The rest, as they say, is history as Nespresso is now a market leader in the sector, offering consumers a boutique coffee experience for the home.
Today, according to statistics, the global coffee capsule market is valued at over USD29 billion. Nespresso holds a sizeable share of that segment with its wide range of machines and coffee varieties. It’s an enticing piece of the pie that Nespresso will no doubt grow in the near future with its range of innovative machines, unique coffee flavours and consumer-friendly offerings like its new subscription plan.
Subscription Shots
Nespresso Malaysia’s new subscription plan allows customers to own a coffee machine from as little as RM50 upfront, with monthly plans that effectively refund the subscription cost in the form of coffee credits.
The idea is simple: instead of paying the full price for a machine, customers pay a monthly fee, starting at RM80, and receive that amount back as credits to spend on Nespresso coffee capsules and accessories. The machines on offer include a wide range, from the compact Essenza Mini to the higher-end Lattissima Touch and the newer Vertuo Pop, now available in a bold lilac colour.
This setup is designed to give consumers a lower barrier to entry into Nespresso’s ecosystem, particularly appealing to those who want a machine without committing to a large one-time payment. The credits are valid for up to 12 months and can still be used even if the subscription is cancelled.
Brewing Benefits
Subscribers receive the same standard benefits as traditional machine purchases, which includes a two-year warranty, a starter coffee kit, and complimentary delivery on orders over a minimum spend. Those who continue their subscription beyond a year will see an additional 10% in coffee credits added from the 13th month onward.
The subscription period also aligns with the arrival of Nespresso’s seasonal coffee range, including returning favourites like Pumpkin Spice Cake and new flavours such as Maple Pecan. Several festive blends for Vertuo machines such as Gingerbread and Peppermint Pinwheel are scheduled to follow later in the month.
Additionally, a limited-edition capsule called Caffè Florian is now available. Inspired by the historic Venetian café, it’s offered in ristretto sizes and can be purchased as part of a limited bundle that includes tasting glasses.
The campaign spotlighting the subscription runs until 12 October 2025, but the subscription model itself remains available year-round. It’s positioned as an alternative way to explore Nespresso’s offerings with more financial flexibility, particularly as interest in at-home coffee options continues to grow.
