In a show that blended legacy with innovation, The Melium Group brought the house down at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week with MEN IN PLAY. The tightly curated menswear showcase proved unequivocally that style, substance, and surprise can coexist on the same runway.
At the heart of the presentation was a daring leap into the future. Melium introduced Jung—a once-two-dimensional muse turned AI-generated style icon—brought vividly to life through cutting-edge technology.
Equal parts stylish and enigmatic, Jung represents a new era for the brand: one that honours its rich sartorial history while embracing digital possibility. A bold move no doubt. But for Melium, a house that has defined Malaysian menswear for over three decades, it’s all part of the play.
Styled And Profiled
The runway delivered a symphony of refined masculinity. From the sleek Italian tailoring of Boggi Milano to the timeless British polish of Hackett London, the show was a study in global luxury. TOD’S whispered quiet opulence, while Piquadro introduced a tech-smart edge to travel accessories.
Adding to the allure was the minimalist chic of Aigner and MCM’s urban polish, which brought fresh energy. Saving the best for last, the finale left the crowd audibly stunned with Farah Khan Couture’s menswear making its debut. With bejewelled skirts styled unapologetically paired with tough leather jacket, the ensembles challenged the codes of traditional masculinity with theatrical flair.
Not to be overlooked was Carrying Power, a capsule that turned the spotlight on Melium’s leather accessories and travel pieces. Essential yet elevated, each tailored for today’s modern lifestyle.
Star Studded Affair
The front row reflected Melium’s fashion clout. Actors Khai Bahar and Azrel Ismail, along with influencer Sam Wong, exemplified Boggi Milano’s effortless elegance. Glamour radiated from the women, too with Mawar Rashid and Thanuja stunning in Max Mara, while Sherry Ibrahim brought Italian flair in Elisabetta Franchi. It was a snapshot of Melium’s signature where classic and contemporary collide with ease.
“For 35 years, Melium has dressed generations with style that transcends trends. We are ageless, genderless, inclusive, and always evolving,” said Founder and President Dato’ Sri Dr Farah Khan. “What makes Melium unique is the community we’ve built. You’ll see generations here, local and international, it’s a vibe.”
With MEN IN PLAY, The Melium Group didn’t just showcase fashion at KLFW 2025. It offered a manifesto: of style in motion, of future-facing luxury grounded in heritage, and of a brand that continues to define what modern elegance looks like in Malaysia and beyond.
