What happens when haute horlogerie meets hyperbike innovation? The hyper-limited superbike RMB01 – a collaboration between Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille with French motorcycle legends Brough Superior. In a world where craftsmanship and performance rarely intersect so seamlessly, the Richard Mille x Brough Superior RMB01 stands as a bold exception.
Having spent 18 months on design and production, the Richard Mille x Brough Superior RMB01 debuted at the 2025 Le Mans Classic this week. Limited to just 150 units worldwide, this motorcycle is set to become a priced possession for collectors, riders, and horological purists.
Board Track Legends, Reimagined with Space-Age Materials
The RMB01 takes cues from early 20th-century board-track racers — raw, stripped-down machines built for speed. But while the silhouette nods to history, the construction is pure future. Its carbon fibre exoskeleton acts as both chassis and showpiece.
The monocoque frame keeps weight low and lines sharp. The elongated tank and aerodynamic seat form a clean, continuous flow. It’s minimalist, sculptural, and made to move. Winglets under the handlebars boost downforce at speed — a feature more common in F1 than in motorcycles. The RMB01 blends nostalgia with innovation, beautifully and deliberately.
Engineered Like A Watch
At its heart sits a 997 cc V-twin engine. It’s been fully machined from solid aluminum. The result: 130 horsepower, tuned for the track but tamed for the road.
Material choices are anything but random. The bike combines carbon fibre, CNC-machined aluminum, and titanium — echoing the obsessive standards seen in Richard Mille watches and Brough Superior bikes.
Like a skeletonised timepiece, the RMB01 shows what most bikes hide. Designers carved away excess material, revealing inner workings and reducing mass. Every detail serves both function and form.
A Palette As Precise As Its Engineering
The RMB01’s finishes are as refined as its mechanics. Each colourway is carefully crafted to enhance the bike’s sculptural presence.
Nocturnal Sapphire is a deep metallic blue that shifts with the light — mysterious and bold. Selene is matte grey with orange accents, giving it a futuristic, aerospace vibe. Pearl of Speed is a luminous white with deep red detailing — sleek, fast, and theatrical.
These aren’t just paint jobs. Artisans apply each finish by hand in multi-stage processes, sealing them with ceramic clear coats. The goal isn’t to decorate — it’s to elevate.
A Ride Into The Future

In an age dominated by digital noise, the RMB01 is a reminder that true luxury lies in the tactile, the mechanical, the raw and the rare. It’s a motorcycle that doesn’t just go fast — it tells a story. One of history, of innovation, and of a shared obsession with detail.
Richard Mille brought the precision of watchmaking. Brough Superior brought a century of motorcycling soul. Together, they created a kinetic sculpture — a bridge between timekeeping and speed.
