Venchi Brings Italian Flair To World Chocolate Day At Seibu

Enjoy indulgent creations and exclusive promotions.

Venchi World Chocolate Day

This World Chocolate Day, beloved Italian chocolatier Venchi is showcasing 140 years of sweet tradition to Malaysians. At the Seibu International Chocolate Fair at The Exchange TRX, the brand extends an open invitation for chocolate lovers to step into a world where cocoa meets craftsmanship.

Founded in 1878 in Piedmont, Italy, Venchi is renowned for its artisanal creations that blend natural ingredients, heritage recipes, and an unmistakable sense of allegria—the Italian joy of life. Fittingly, the brand is showcasing its very best on a very important day.

Ode To Chocolates

Celebrated annually on 7 July, World Chocolate Day commemorates one of the most delicious discoveries in culinary history. It was on this date in 1847 that British chocolatier Joseph Fry revolutionised the way we enjoy chocolate by creating the world’s first solid chocolate bar.

Before Fry’s invention, chocolate was consumed solely as a drink. His discovery—simply adding melted cocoa butter to cocoa powder—paved the way for generations of chocolate artisans, including Silvano Venchi, who would later go on to create the iconic Gianduiotto by marrying chocolate with the prized hazelnuts of Piedmont.

Italian Pride

In homage to this rich history, Venchi’s elegant showcase at the Seibu Food Hall presents some of its most cherished offerings. Visitors can savour the brand’s famed Chocoviar, a velvety chocolate centre enrobed in a delicate, crunchy shell—an exquisite balance of texture and flavour. Also on offer are Venchi’s signature hazelnut and pistachio pairings, a nod to Italy’s finest regional ingredients, lovingly combined into luxuriously smooth confections.

To mark the occasion, Venchi is also offering a selection of limited-time promotions, available in-store until 16 July.
