Set against the dramatic backdrop of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, this historic edition marks the first time the Louis Vuitton Cup and America’s Cup Match will be held in Italy.
The Italian watch brand has strong ties to sailing dating back to 2017 with the America’s Cup. That charted course for Panerai to become the Official Sponsor of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli in 2019. Since then, the collaboration has produced a series of technical timepieces that reflect both the technological demands of elite sailing and Panerai’s marine heritage.
As the 38th America’s Cup approaches, Panerai continues to honour its legacy of innovation and craftsmanship—celebrating the spirit of adventure with watches made for those who dare to defy limits.

To commemorate this third consecutive America’s Cup campaign with Luna Rossa, Panerai unveils two new additions to the Luminor Luna Rossa collection: the Luminor Chrono Flyback Luna Rossa PAM01654 and the Luminor Luna Rossa PAM01653.

The PAM01654 is a limited edition of just 150 pieces and embodies Panerai’s expertise in high-performance watchmaking. Crafted in 44mm titanium—44% lighter than steel yet equally robust—it is a study in strength and comfort.
Its mechanical heart is the P.9100 calibre, Panerai’s first automatic movement with flyback chronograph functionality. Designed with a vertical clutch and column wheel, it features a tachymeter scale and dual spring barrels for a 72-hour power reserve.
A grey matte sandwich dial features red chronograph hands, Luna Rossa insignia, and a balanced sub-dial arrangement. The caseback reveals the intricate movement through sapphire crystal, while a black and grey bi-material strap with the team’s signature stripe completes the bold aesthetic.
Everyday Elegance
PAM01653 is powered by a manually wound P.6000 calibre.
The PAM01653 offers a more minimalist yet equally distinguished expression. Housed in a 44mm AISI 316LVM stainless steel case, the watch is defined by Panerai’s signature crown-protecting lever and a grey sandwich dial with engraved indices. Red accents nod to Luna Rossa’s visual identity, while the team decal at 6 o’clock adds a finishing touch.
Inside, the manually wound P.6000 calibre delivers a three-day power reserve, featuring a balance bridge for improved stability and a stop-second function for precise setting. Like its sibling, it comes equipped with a Luna Rossa bi-material strap and an additional rubber strap.
The PAM01654 and PAM01653 retails for RM66,800 and RM28,200 respectively.
