Chanel’s le19M, the Paris-based hub celebrating the finest in fashion and decorative arts craftsmanship, will make its international debut this autumn with la Galerie du 19M Tokyo, opening from 30 September to 20 October 2025. The event will be held on the 52nd floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, offering a breathtaking setting for this cross-cultural showcase.

Founded in 2021, le19M unites around 700 artisans and experts in disciplines ranging from embroidery and millinery to pleating and shoemaking. In Tokyo, the Galerie will spotlight this rare savoir-faire through exhibitions, workshops, and immersive experiences designed for visitors of all ages.

The event is divided into three distinct chapters. “Le Festival”, designed by Tsuyoshi Tane Architects, features a dramatic architectural installation highlighting the craftsmanship of the Maisons d’Art. “Beyond Our Horizons” is an immersive exhibition curated by a team of Japanese creatives, including Momoko Ando and Shinichiro Ogata, showcasing collaborative works by over 30 artists from France and Japan.

The final chapter, “Lesage Embroidery and Textiles, a 100-Year Story”, marks the centenary of Maison Lesage, a legendary name in embroidery and tweed. Hands-on transmission lies at the heart of the Galerie’s mission. Visitors will be invited to participate in live demonstrations, talks, and creative workshops, bringing artisanal traditions to life.

The event underscores Chanel’s enduring relationship with Japan, dating back to its first fashion show in Tokyo in 1978 and the 2004 Métiers d’Art show at the Chanel Ginza Hotel. La Galerie du 19M Tokyo celebrates this legacy through mutual respect, shared inspiration, and a playful exploration of modernity and tradition.
