ZENITH Unveil Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar With Lapis Lazuli Dial

A new captivating iteration with precious stones

Swiss watchmaker ZENITH continues its celebration of celestial inspiration with the unveiling of the Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Lapis Lazuli, a new iteration of its iconic chronograph dressed in one of nature’s most captivating stones.

First revealed at Watches and Wonders 2025 alongside the G.F.J. and the brand’s blue ceramic trilogy for its 160th anniversary, the new model reaffirms ZENITH’s commitment to blending heritage with innovation. At the heart of this piece lies a dial crafted from natural lapis lazuli, a deep blue gemstone renowned for its rich hue and shimmering golden pyrite inclusions—each dial is inherently unique.

Looking To The Stars

Encapsulating the brand’s cosmic inspiration—born from founder Georges Favre-Jacot’s dream of reaching the “zenith,” or the highest point a star can reach—the watch aligns horological precision with astronomical beauty. The Triple Calendar complication reflects the cycles of the heavens, displaying the day, date, month, and moon phase in a perfectly balanced layout.

The day and month windows sit symmetrically at 11 and 2 o’clock, while the date is subtly placed at 4:30. The moon phase is integrated within the chronograph’s minute counter at 6 o’clock. Contrasting silver sub-dials and a 1/10th of a second chapter ring ensures excellent legibility and aesthetic harmony.

Housed in a 38mm stainless steel case, the design draws inspiration from the iconic 1969 A386, featuring pump-style pushers, tapered lugs, and a raised box-shaped sapphire crystal. Inside, the watch is powered by the El Primero 3610 calibre—a high-frequency automatic chronograph movement that enables the central chronograph hand to complete one rotation every 10 seconds, indicating 1/10th of a second intervals. It boasts a 60-hour power reserve and a stop-seconds mechanism for precise time setting.

The Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Lapis Lazuli is paired with a blue calfskin leather strap and also includes a stainless-steel bracelet, offering versatility and elegance in equal measure. The transparent case back reveals the movement’s intricacies, including a blue column wheel and an openworked rotor adorned with the brand’s iconic star.
