Bentley’s supercar family is expanding. The luxury automobile maker has unveiled a significant expansion of its hybrid vehicle offerings. Joining the Bentley line-up now are the High Performance Hybrid V8 across its Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, and Flying Spur models.
With these new additions, Bentley now offers an electrified V8 engine across both two-door and four-door body styles, marking a key milestone in the brand’s push towards sustainable performance. The High Performance Hybrid powertrain, combining a 4.0-litre V8 engine with an electric motor, produces an impressive 680 PS (horsepower) and 930 Nm of torque.
This hybrid engine offers up to 50 miles (80 km) of electric-only range, making it a strong performer on both short commutes and longer drives. For comparison, it outperforms the previous generation’s W12 Speed powertrain, delivering higher power, torque, and performance, all while producing lower CO2 emissions, as low as 29 g/km in hybrid mode.
Upgraded Performance And Handling

Continental GTC.
The new hybrid models provide exhilarating performance, with the Continental GT accelerating from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds (3.7 seconds for the Convertible), and the Flying Spur achieving the same in 3.8 seconds. The Continental GT boasts an electric-only range of 53 miles (85 km), while the GTC offers 51 miles (82 km). These impressive figures make the new hybrids a compelling option for those seeking both performance and efficiency.
To complement the hybrid powertrain, Bentley’s Active Chassis technology incorporates Dynamic Ride, Rear Wheel Steering, and eLSD (electronic limited-slip differential) for a smooth and dynamic driving experience. Drivers can choose from Comfort, Bentley, or Sport driving modes to tailor their experience to different road conditions.
Elegant Design and Wellbeing Focus

Flying Spur.
The new models also introduce a fresh approach to design and luxury. The Continental GT and GT Convertible retain iconic features like the matrix grille and distinctive Harmony headlamps, while offering bespoke touches such as fluted leather seats and bright chrome or dark chrome interior accents.
The interiors are handcrafted in Crewe, with customers able to choose from an extensive range of luxurious finishes, including open pore crown-cut walnut and contrast stitching. For those prioritising wellbeing, the Azure variants take comfort to the next level.
Key features include 3D Harmony diamond quilting on the seats, Wellness seating with adjustable heating and ventilation, and mood lighting to create a serene environment. The Continental GT Azure even comes with a panoramic sunroof, while the GT Convertible Azure is equipped with a neck warmer for more comfortable open-air motoring.
The Flying Spur also receives the new High Performance Hybrid powertrain, offering a 0-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds. The Flying Spur Azure variant, like its Continental counterparts, focuses on luxury and wellbeing, with additional features like massage functions for the seats and driver assistance technologies to enhance safety.
As always, Bentley offers an extensive array of customisation options, including exclusive Mulliner features, bespoke paint finishes, veneers, and upholstery. With nearly limitless choices, each customer can create a Bentley that perfectly reflects their personal style and driving preferences.
