“We aim to bring this culinary magic directly to our guests; offering the same authenticity and flavours you’d find in the bazaars or family kitchens of Malaysia.” Kicking-off during Ramadan, the campaign will see hotels and resorts within the Marriott portfolio, serve authentic local dishes within its restaurants.
From bustling street markets to cherished family kitchens, The Malaysian Kitchen offers a true taste of Malaysia without the need to step outside the hotels. Whether it’s a local craving familiar dishes or a traveller eager to explore the many facets of local cuisine, Marriott Bonvoy aims to deliver a consistently authentic and quality culinary experience for all guests.
Authentic Flavours

Nasi Kerabu.
Carrying the vision of The Malaysian Kitchen forward are the talented chefs of the hospitality group. The campaign sees each participating hotel showcase a signature dish that reflects the local flavours and culinary stories of Malaysia.
Ramesh elaborates that these recipes that are created by these chefs will be disseminated to other hospitality properties within the group. “Naturally, the chefs in these other properties will have a freehand interpreting the recipes and adding their own distinctive twists,” he adds.
“But overall, this is to ensure that our signature local flavours and dishes will be available throughout our properties during the duration of the campaign.” The culinary creations prepared by Marriott’s chefs consist of iconic Malaysian dishes.
This includes items such as Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang, Char Koay Teow, Sarawak Laksa and Nasi Kerabu. The breadth of variety of dishes also reflects the vast culinary tapestry available in Malaysia, especially with prominent dishes of several local states.
The Malaysian Kitchen campaign will be held year-round at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties. From Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi, guests will experience local dishes that stay true to their roots, prepared with the finest ingredients and traditional cooking techniques.
