Surrounded by the Alps and Jura mountains, the city of Geneva in Switzerland is situated at the southern tip of Lake Geneva. It is here on the shores of Lake Geneva, with panoramic views of Mont Blanc, there lies a new hotel recently unveiled in September 2021, the latest addition to Oetker Collection’s portfolio. The Woodward hotel was originally built in 1901 by French architect Francois Durel, in post-Haussmann style and located on Quai Wilson, which is a road that runs along the north shore of Lake Geneva. World-renowned architect, Pierre-Yves Rochon has carefully reimagined and completely transformed the property into Geneva’s first all-suite hotel and home of Haute living.
Twenty-one of the twenty-six suites at The Woodward is decadently designed to unveil a full view of the lake, and all suites have been created with signature flourishes including marble fireplaces and bookcases. Each suite is curated to possess its own distinct character and individual design, and some are even accessible by private elevator. Besides the modern and spacious luxurious décor, the view promises to be simply breath-taking with windows and balconies overlooking the marina, Lake Geneva and the French Alps.
World-class culinary dining by Michelin-Starred L’Atelier Robuchon features Chef Olivier Jean’s open kitchen concept with a theatrical dining experience around the counter and in two private dining rooms. Overlooking the picturesque Geneva Harbour, Le Jardinier features vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free offerings by Michelin-starred Chef Alain Verzerolli. Guests can enjoy sumptuous vegetable starring dishes on two large verandas attached to the post-Haussmann façade.
The Guerlain Spa at The Woodward is where guests can enjoy unparalleled French luxury across six wellness suites, including one for couples. Blending traditional gestures and new techniques, the extensive wellness offerings present a broad range of massages and treatments specially created for this most elegant venue. The 1200sqm spa includes two saunas, two steam rooms, two Swedish baths, a hot tub, and a 21-metre indoor swimming pool – the longest in Geneva.
The Woodward presents several offers with a complimentary in-room experience bar, free wi-fi, Press Reader access, and breakfast at Le Jardinier restaurant. For selected suite categories, the hotel extends free transfer from Geneva airport in a private car with a chauffeur. For reservations, the hotel can be contacted on +41 22 901 3700.
