01 ROCK ON
With its unique pyramid-shaped stud, lacquered and discreetly cross-set with 44 diamonds, the latest Médor Rock watch by Hermès is both edgy and refined. The lacquered dial is concealed beneath the bracelets’ cabochon – revealed with a press on the crown. Its vivid vermillion red smooth calfskin strap is accompanied by steel nuances and styled to look like a slim collar-like bracelet, delivering simplicity and elegance with a bold approach. In fact, the inspiration for the Médor Rock’s distinct pyramid shape comes from the studs of hunting dog collars that made its foray into fashion in the 1930s on belts and, later, on the Hermès dog collar bracelet. Despite its rocky origins, the Médor Rock is wonderfully elegant, thanks to the luscious hue and delicate stainless steel case measuring 16mm x 16mm.
