The most stylish resort on Bintan Island in Indonesia, The Sanchaya welcomes you to their shores to celebrate the holidays and bid goodbye to 2018 with an extravagant line up of activities for every guest. If you’re looking to get away for the holiday season, opt for a sunny Christmas and stay in one of The Sanchaya’s 29 luxury villas and suites and get in the mood to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
Starting from the 17th of December, The Sanchaya’s colonial state-home inspired estate will be decked out with Christmas decorations. Expect a fully decorated Christmas tree, as well as a giant gingerbread house emulating the design of the Sanchaya estate to create a splendid visual affair to greet guests. But the fun doesn’t stop there, as more activities unfold in this beachfront hotel as the most wonderful day draws nearer, starting with festive packages from the spa, featuring holiday-themed scrubs specially created by Ria Cantle, the spa manager; and a glass of sparkling wine as an bubbly end to close off each treatment.
The events continue with special tasting sessions of champagne and Carelian Caviar, who are the first Northern European producer of caviar based in the North Carelia water district of Finland. Caviar produced in that region boasts a balanced flavour, aroma and texture as well as being fully sustainable. The tasting sessions are on offer to guests for a little over a week starting from the 21st of December.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day sees relaxed celebrations with a traditional cocktail dinner preceded by an intimate cocktail soirée; and a wine & cheese tasting hosted by sommelier Jeroen L’abée, on each respective day. For an exotic spin on celebrations, December 28 sees an Arabian-themed celebration with middle eastern style spiced cocktails and Moroccan mint tea available at the bar.
As New Year’s Day approaches, the celebrations culminate in the annual New Year’s Eve Gathering, highlighted by an array of culinary delights set to take guests on a journey. Aperitifs of shaved iberico pork, port infused stilton starts the evening before dinner, while the night winds down at the bar, set to beats by DJ Patrick Oliver.
