La Panthere de Cartier – An Exhibition of Pure Cartier Heritage

La Panthere de Cartier – An Exhibition of Pure Cartier Heritage

Coming to you all the way from their archives in Geneva.

The Panther of maison Cartier has long been a symbol of the brand but if you want to find out just how long it has been around, we suggest you pay a visit to the La Panthère de Cartier exhibition in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur this weekend (16-17 September 2017).

For fans of the brand or even jewellery for that matter, the exhibition is something that most definitely shouldn’t be missed as for the first time, Cartier has air-flown 28 painstakingly-preserved pieces from their archives in Geneva to Kuala Lumpur. Celebrating more than 150 years of history and craftsmanship, guests will be able to trace the odyssey of the famous panther and get up close with immensely historic pieces through this exhibition spanning the Centre Concourse of Pavilion KL and their double-storey flagship boutique. Here are some of the Heritage highlights that you’ll be able to find exhibited there this weekend:

02 Necklace

Commissioned as a special order from Cartier Paris in 1935, this was the very first panther-patterned necklace of yellow gold, star rubies and black and white enamel. The master craftsmen at Cartier wanted a very specific look for the rubies and so finding 14 of them with the exact criteria that matched the vision of the designers was something really fascinating. You can’t really see it from the picture but looking at it up close will make you understand just why they demanded the perfect stones.
