The concept was first conceived inside the research workshop of two Michelin-starred chef Paco Roncero in 2012, before opening its doors on the island of Ibiza in 2014. An eclectic team formed of chefs, engineers, illusionists and screenwriters then birthed the haute cuisine gastronomy that’s made waves by fusing ground-breaking technology and unprecedented staging – creating the first gastronomic show in the world. At EUR1,500 a head, the dining room, or ‘capsule’, seats up to 12 unique guests, where they will be treated to a pleasurable assault on the senses with a show alongside the 20-course tasting menu. From bites of nitrogen-frozen olive oil to being immersed in a skydiving adventure with Samsung Gear VR and self-stirring Bloody Marys, there’s plenty to expect.
