The Peak x Montblanc Malaysia: Mightier Than The Sword

The Peak and Montblanc Malaysia co-hosted an event to celebrate both Father’s Day as well as the Swiss maison’s partnership with UNICEF to support education projects around the world.

The late Nelson Mandela once said: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Montblanc, then, would seem to be the embodiment of the words of South Africa’s Father of the Nation, seeing how it was founded on a love for writing and a belief in its power to change the world. The Swiss maison’s partnership with UNICEF goes back to 2004, and is focus on sustaining primary education and literacy programmes for children all over the world.

The latest iteration of this partnership, the Montblanc for UNICEF collection, was unveiled here recently at an intimate cocktail co-hosted by The Peak and Montblanc Malaysia. Taking place, appropriately enough, in The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur’s The Library, the extensive range of books lining the walls of the venue echoed the significance of Montblanc’s initiative as guests experienced up close the collection of pens, timepieces, leather items and accessories that will contribute to supporting UNICEF. Fuelled by champagne, wine and canapés, they also indulged in graphology and bespoke nib analyses, as well as discovered the pleasure of Montblanc’s Augmented Paper.
