Explore classic and modern interpretations of the Negroni cocktail at Skullduggery while supporting the Negroni Week charity initiative.
Negroni Week starts today, and you can join in the celebration and contribute to this charity initiative organised by Campari. Among the more than 6,000 bars worldwide participating in Negroni Week is Skullduggery in Damansara Heights, where you’ll not only get to enjoy the cocktail, but also half a dozen modern interpretations of the classic Negroni, all of which reflect the clandestine bar’s artisanal and innovative approach to the art of cocktail.
All six modern interpretations showcase an impressive array of highly skilled techniques and refined preparation methods. Two of the cocktails, for example, are made with barrel-aged components – one double aged for a highly complex and textured smoke finish, while the other is aged in an American Oak cask that lends vanilla and tobacco notes to the drink.
Count Negroni’s Artillery, on the other hand, combines local and foreign flavours, where dark chocolate is infused with vermouth and combined with gunpowder tea and Indian Borage to give the cocktail a complex flavour profile. Another standout is Diamond in the Rough, where the base Tanqueray 10 is incorporated with Campari and Suze Gentiane, a French liqueur made from the gentian root, and balanced with house-made rose and champagne syrup.
So, make a trip down to Skullduggery and explore the Negroni, in both its classic and modern manifestations, which are only available from 5 to 11 June 2017. Proceeds from sales will go to charity.
